Professionals in a calm, considered leadership conversation

Corporate & Professional

Steady leadership for shifting ground.

Resilience, emotional regulation, values-aligned leadership and communication that lands — grounded support for people who carry weight.

Why organisations bring me in.

Organisations rarely call me when things are calm. They call when the ground is shifting — a restructure, a merger, a leader stretched thin, a team that has stopped talking honestly to itself.

Over more than forty-five years I have worked with boardrooms and departments of every shape, and the pattern is always the same: performance follows wellbeing, and wellbeing follows honesty. Address those two things and the numbers tend to look after themselves.

My work with organisations is practical and human in equal measure — emotional regulation you can use in a difficult meeting, communication that actually lands, and leadership anchored in values rather than volume.

What I offer

Three ways to work together.

Every organisation is different, so every engagement is shaped around the people in it. Most work falls into one of these three doors.

01

One-to-one

Executive coaching

Confidential, one-to-one work for senior leaders — resilience under pressure, emotional regulation, decision-making anchored in values, and communication that people actually follow. A steady, private place to think clearly.

02

Together

Team wellbeing

Practical sessions that help teams recover honesty, trust and energy — emotional regulation, listening skills and well-being practices that hold up when the pressure is on.

03

In the room

Leadership workshops

Workshops and talks on resilient leadership, emotional intelligence and communication — for leadership offsites, management development and company well-being days.

“Terry brought a calm into our leadership team that we had not managed to find in years of internal initiatives. People stopped performing and started talking.”
— Managing Director, professional services

The approach

How the work unfolds.

No slideware, no slogans. A straightforward way of working, shaped by four and a half decades of practice.

01

Listen

Every engagement starts with honest conversations — with leaders, teams and the people on the floor. What is really happening, beneath the official version.

02

Map

Together we map the ground: where the pressure sits, what the organisation values on paper versus in practice, and where the real leverage lies.

03

Walk alongside

One-to-one sessions, team workshops and steady check-ins — practical work on resilience, communication and leadership that people can use the same week.

04

Embed

The aim is always the same: to leave people and teams holding their own ground, with habits and language that outlast the engagement itself.

Questions

Asked by corporate clients.

How do engagements usually begin?

The work is shaped around each organisation. Some leaders want a steady rhythm of one-to-one sessions; others bring in a team workshop or a longer wellbeing programme. We begin with a conversation and design from there.

What kinds of situations do you work with?

The common threads are change and pressure — restructures, growth, transitions in leadership, and the quiet strain that builds when people carry a lot for a long time.

Do you work on site or remotely?

Sessions can run in person or online, and workshops can be held on site. The work travels well; what matters is the quality of attention, not the room.

Is the work confidential?

Everything shared in sessions is held in strict confidence — for individuals and for teams. Trust is the foundation the whole practice rests on.

What does it cost?

The first conversation is simply a conversation — unhurried and without obligation. From there we agree what, if anything, would be useful.
